Tablet PCs (which can double as e-readers) are innovative, convenient and have been a welcome addition to the PC industry for the last few years. They are ideal for staying connected and organized and offer a wide variety of benefits including:

Portability & Connectivity. Tablets have long battery lives and low-heat processors and while tablets have fewer features than laptops/netbooks, many can utilize 3G/4G data networks and almost all have Wi-Fi for broadband Internet connectivity.

Ease of Use. Mobile operating systems are quick, simple and are extremely easy to navigate.

Software Usage. Tablets can run necessary productivity software such as Microsoft Office.

Touch Screen Interface. Touch screens make tablet computers user-friendly and intuitive.

Available Applications (i.e. Apps). The availability of apps gives tablets a huge benefit.

Each facility chooses and controls the local software image and all computing devices are supplied with Faronics Deepfreeze as a means to reset the original software image upon each re-boot.
