Systems are highly configurable both with respect to size and configuration and devices supported. All systems are built-to-order in concert with LaptopsAnytime.
Our Systems combine proprietary hardware and software and adapt to meet your needs and requirements.
Additionally, all kiosks can manage multiple device or asset types, separated by row of the kiosk. We call these multi-device kiosks "Combo" Kiosks.
Other than Australia/New Zealand where we partner with a local reseller, LaptopsAnytime’s Team is set up to sell direct with our own Sales Team in our core markets. However, we will partner with 3rd Parties if it is beneficial to do so.

Forever, via purchase of “new” laptops/chromebooks/tablets/110V portable power chargers on the part of the customer and “new” equipment to handle the new devices on the part of LaptopsAnytime.
At highest plan level, Platinum Plus, we offer "Free SmartBay Upgrade Once Every 3 Years" to coincide with many institutions' planned device refresh programs. If your planned refresh is not 3 years and is say closer to 4 or 5 years, then Platinum or Gold Levels, respectively, would be a better fit.

Our data indicates laptops can check out 4 or 5 times as often as other types of devices such as Chromebooks and iPads. This should definitely be taken into consideration when it comes to deciding what device(s) to dispense.
In addition to Laptops, Chromebooks,Tablets and 110V Portable Power Chargers, LaptopsAnytime Systems can be used to securely manage critical assets and sensitive materials, e.g. Narcotics, Confidential Documents, Critical Industrial Equipment, with full accountability.
Most LaptopsAnytime customers view automation as a means of reducing the dependence on over-burdened staff and lowering long-term costs while increasing device circulation and access.
While this approach is primarily geared to high-volume, short-term checkouts, systems can be configured with both bays and doors to enable programs that incorporate both short- and long-term checkout. Review Product Info page for more info.
In short, the rise in the numbers of BYOD users who bring their own devices and an insufficient number and availability of wall outlets leads to an ever increasing demand for smart portable 110V power.
Older buildings are particularly lacking and re-wiring/adding outlets to these facilities can be cost-prohibitive. Furthermore, newer facilities oftentimes force end users to sit in designated areas for available wired power. And it is never enough!
Charging Kiosk Systems which can be standalone or can added to supplement Laptop Kiosk Systems (see Combo Kiosk Systems) offer a flexible solution to the issue of portable power with 12- or 24-chargers in each 30”w Host Kiosk System (see Charger Kiosk Systems).
LaptopsAnytime Systems use standard 3-prong, 110V (or international equivalent) power outlet, no need for dedicated circuit. One Ethernet port needed per Kiosk System and one power outlet needed per each Kiosk Cabinet. Max Amp Load (12-bay System): 6 Amps

Most institutions install a common set of applications that covers their user group including Web Browsers, Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Connectivity Software, Graphics Software, etc.
For our Public Sector clients, LaptopsAnytime encourages the use of Faronics Deep Freeze as a means to reset laptops back to a pre-set state and wipe away user sessions. Digital footprints are erased upon every return to the kiosk system or reboot of a device.
Time Management Software is also popular in many public libraries as a means of managing user sessions.
Note: You can install different software packages on different devices. This can not only be tracked by the LaptopsAnytime System, but can be presented as different options to the end users.
No, a device can be returned to any open bay in the same kiosk. This allows for quick returns by large user groups.
A device can also be returned to another kiosk as long as those kiosks are set up under central circulation (which is an optional feature).
Yes, LaptopsAnytime Systems are very space-saving (up to 30 devices in 5 linear feet) and have been designed with ergonomics and ADA reach requirements in mind.
The footprint on a 12-bay kiosk is 30”w x 29”d (at its deepest point) x 60.5”h.
Yes. LaptopsAnytime Kiosk Systems can accommodate up to “2” other foreign languages in addition to English. It is the responsibility of the Facility to translate the customized English text into additional languages, Spanish, Chinese etc.
Yes, the LaptopsAnytime Kiosk System can be temporarily set to hold onto devices for facility maintenance.
It depends upon the local use case. You can manage your devices any way you want.
Note: Public Libraries prefer on premise use while most Higher Ed institutions and other markets allow flexibility.
LaptopsAnytime encourages use of 3rd Party Software such as Faronics Deep Freeze (of which LaptopsAnytime is an authorized reseller) or use of Windows Policies to reset laptops back to pre-set state and wipe away user sessions. Digital footprints are erased upon every return to the kiosk system or reboot of a device.
Deep Freeze can be configured to provide a scheduled maintenance window where any changes made by 3rd party applications will become permanent. Additionally some applications can be redirected to an optional unprotected portion of the disk. The unprotected portion of the disk could either be a disk partition, or an area created by Deep Freeze called ThawSpace. Applications redirected to an unprotected portion of the disk will retain their updates even after a reboot.
Yes, Deep Freeze is only for the laptops. For iPads, Apple Configurator 2 and an MDM purchased by customer are used to reset iPads back to preset state.
No, in that case an individual bay can be blocked by the administrator and the rest of the bays will continue on.
Yes, in Northern and Southern CA, North TX, OH, PA and FL.
Note: Most Kiosk System issues can be solved remotely or with guidance over phone/email. If serious issue occurs, we would send someone out to assist on-site as needed.

Typical ship time from receipt of order is 8-weeks.
This timeline is based on (a) receipt of order, (b) receipt of devices at our plant in Hayward, CA and (c) finalization of custom graphic design. Note: Custom orders have extended delivery times.
LTL Freight. Crates arrive on casters and can be easily transported to their final destination.
